The latest issue of Entertainment Weekly has a full page spread for Disney’s The Muppets, starring Jason Segel and Amy Adams as a couple who reunite Jim Henson’s classic characters for a big show.  The photo reminds us of all the favorites and gives us the first look at Walter, Segel’s puppet friend in the story who dreams of becoming a true Muppet. We’ve heard Micheal Cera was being considered for the voice of Walter, though that remains unconfirmed.  Apart from Segel and Adams, the only other confirmed cast members are Chris Cooper as the villain Tex Richman, Rashida Jones as an ABC television executive, and Zach Galifianakis in a cameo.  Sean Penn, Alan Arkin, and several others — George Clooney, anyone? — have been rumored for cameos as well. James Bobin (”Flight of the Conchords”) is directing for a Christmas Day 2011 release. Take a look at the independent sheets below, plus a combined version at the bottom:
